The 4th Friday of every month, some two dozen Prescott art galleries keep their doors open after hours for you and your friends to embark upon a journey into a unique art scene: fine arts and crafts, live music, local eateries, a party atmosphere! Begins at 5 p.m.

Prescott Holiday Light Parade

Thousands lined downtown streets to help Prescott kick off the Holiday season with its annual Holiday Light Parade. On hand to judge the entries were Prescott City Councilwoman Mary Ann Suttles, Elisabeth Ruffner and Marilyn Bartmess Henze.

UniSource Energy Grand Prize Winner - Prescott Holiday Light Parade

Unisource Energy's entry took Grand Prize in addition to 1st place in the Commercial and Most Creative categories. The Unisource entry consisted of a traditonal float which was circled by four miniture floats as it traveled the parade route.

Yavapai Prescott Indian Tribe - Prescott Holiday Light Parade

The Yavapai Prescott Indian Tribe was awarded 1st place in the Non-Profit category and came in 2nd for Most Creative.

FAMILY ENTRY:
1st Place - Uncle Earl’s Colllossal Calliope
2nd Place - The Nordyke Family

Prescott Regulators and their Shady Ladies1st Place- Yavapai Prescott Tribe
2nd Place- Prescott Regulators & Their Shady Ladies

 

COMMERCIAL ENTRY:
1st Place- UniSource Energy
2nd Place - Patriot Disposal

 

MOST CREATIVE:
1st Place: UniSource Energy
Patriot Disposal2nd Place: Yavapai Prescott Tribe

 

GRAND PRIZE:
UniSource Energy

Great coverage on the light parade, with one notable absence APS which company started it all. A young (then) friend Scott Jacobson who was VP for Corporate Relations get the tradition going with flashlights!!

We attempted to photograph every entry in the parade. Unfortunately, due to the low-light conditions a few entries were impossible to capture.
